Wood Casing & Baseboards: Wood trim around your doors (casing) and around your floor (baseboard). We always carry a selection in oak, maple and a little pine some hard to find wood species, like cherry, ash and birch..so please ask. We also carry a huge supply of  solid wood, american poplar mouldings for all those painting applications in demand these days.  It’s the ORGANIC answer for all of us that are worried about the off-gassing chemicals associated with MDF mouldings. You can tell as soon as you bring MDF mouldings in the house, they stink and that is what you are breathing 24 hours a day!  One of my clients that worked in construction in Toronto, just told me that the union now makes it MANDITORY to use a mask when cutting MDF…. what does that suggest??

 

Crown Mouldings: If you’re looking for a trim around the ceiling, around the top of your kitchen cabinets or to complete the top of a newly build wall unit check out our page of crown mouldings.

 

Chair Rail & Panel Mouldings: Chair rail mouldings are typically installed horizontally, part way up the wall, maybe dividing two shades of paint or wood paneling on the bottom and paint on top… not done as often today but we still do have a few mouldings around. You might also be looking for door stop and/or a number of other small specialty panel mouldings to finish off around your stairs.

 

Floor Mouldings: Standard: We manufacturer a number of specialized mouldings and wood nosing for finishing off laminated and solid wood flooring… stair nosing, t- mouldings & reducers. Given that wood floors are now available in many exotic wood species, we even have a few pieces in woods like Jatoba and African & Santos Mahogany.

 

Wood Shiplap & V Joint: Wood paneling is making a return to popularity, often in semi-enclosed sun rooms or for a feature wall in the basement. It is all manufactured on-site, so you get to pick the type of wood, size and pattern…

 

Custom Millwork: You design the moulding pattern (or send along a sample you’re trying to match) and we will make the knife necessary to produce a casing or baseboard to coordinate with your existing trim  … This has been a particularly significant service for those caught in fire restoration projects or in situations of water damage has selectively destroyed parts of your millwork… even in a couple of situations where the client was interested in doing historical restoration. Knife costs run $400-500, so it doesn’t make sense for 10′ of something, but where there is no choice, its a valuable option.
