Shipping hardwood stairs and railings to London, Ontario is pretty easy. Most couriers have daily service from Northern Ontario into Toronto and then sub it out to go further west to London.

Apex Motor Express does the same thing. They bulk ship our hardwood stair treads and handrailing overnight on a truck to Toronto and then transfer the next day to take it into London. So far we’ve had no damage to any of our outbound shipments in the last 6 years.

We like the fact that we can put all your steps in one package with the vital edges protected on the inside. It can then be moved around with automated forklifts and less likely to get the corners crunched.

You have the choice with Apex Motor Express to either pick it up at the depot, so you’re not waiting in for the courier or have them sub out the delivery to a local address.

(this is equivalent to more than 40 custom oak wood stairs or some multiple of steps, box newels and/or railings. even London homes usually don’t use quite that many steps

We can still use Apex to get your wood treads to a specific London City address, but they then transfer your treads to an “in-town” courier that will deliver to your house. Arrangements can be made directly with Apex, when your stair treads arrive at the London depot

If you have a business address that you can use, Apex will deliver to a business address in London proper for the same depot cost.
